How to create an FTP account

This article explains how to create an additional FTP account.

To do this, you must access the digiocio.com website, access your credentials, go to the digiocio panel, go to my services, accommodation, and go to login to the digiocio panel. ftp access and you can now add a new FTP account.

You must click on add FTP account, you must specify the name of the FTP account you must indicate the name you want.

In the main directory of the digiocio panel, you must select the directory where the user is redirected when connecting to the FTP account. You will need to add an FTP password.

Under Hard disk quota, (on Windows hosting) To limit the amount of disk space on the server that the FTP user can occupy, uncheck the Unlimited box next to the Hard disk quota box and enter the amount of space on disk in megabytes. Read permission (in Windows hosting). To allow the FTP user to view the contents of the main directory and download files from this directory, select the Read Permission check box.

Write permission (in Windows hosting). To allow the FTP user to create, view, rename, and delete directories in the home directory, select the Write Permission check box.

On Windows hosting, if you don't want to grant any permissions, a connection to the FTP account will be made but the contents of the home directory will not be displayed to the user.

Click OK. To change the properties of an additional FTP account:

You have to go to websites and domains and click on FTP access, in the list, you must click on the name of the FTP account you want. You will need to make any changes you want to make and click OK.

If you want to delete an additional FTP account, you only have to go to websites and domains, click on FTP access, select the box that corresponds to the FTP account you want to delete and click on delete. Note that you will not be able to remove the main FTP account from the subscription. You will need to confirm the deletion and click accept.
